Chronic Pain Australia

Chronic Pain Australia

We are dedicated to reducing the social and other barriers to living with chronic pain.We are a group of people who are tired of the way things are for people in pain. You may be feeling quite isolated and ‘over it’ and feel that no one really understands your experience. You might even feel that people don’t believe you. Many people tell us about these experiences. Don’t despair, you aren’t crazy! And you aren’t on your own either. Over the years many volunteers have strengthened us so that we can work towards greater community understanding about chronic pain…

Our Mission
To reduce the unnecessary suffering and isolation caused by chronic pain in the Australian community..

Our Vision
No Australian living with persistent pain should suffer alone or without access to resources and information which help them effectively manage their pain in a manner promoting dignity and self respect, regardless of age, gender, culture, belief, socio-economic or compensation status.

Our Core Objectives
Chronic Pain Australia’s key aims are to:

  • Improve knowledge and understanding about chronic pain across Australia
  • Promote better understanding amongst health professionals about what it is like to live with chronic pain; and
  • Work towards supported self-management of pain.

Josephine, that link doesn’t work, perhaps the site has been pulled down. You should write to Chronic Pain Australia and all the orgs, I have written a few times. Your experience is unacceptable. The system thrives on intimidating injured workers but we have a voice through social media now and can report all our experiences somewhere. If you get back onto the website, please let me know. Above all, love take care of yourself. You’ve been through enough. Soula

Thank you for your link to Ms Soula’s Blog http://www.pudendalnerve,com.au. Somehow I ended-up on a website that took my ‘breath away’!! That is this website http://www.injuredworkersupport.org.au/hacking-disgrace-injured-workers. Something happened..I can’t describe it but it sure would take the nagging thought for the last sixteen yrs that none who listened wanted to believe..that is before my case, my computer was hacked. It has a second Adminstrator (Insurer or their Associate sponsored). My phone is bugged for yrs now. Even after case got settled many years ago. The bugging continues. Main apparatus used by Worker Compensation Insurer and their Associates to psychologically rape the Injured Worker. Every call made to book a Taxi, Tradesmen etc has become a nighmarish experience. I dread these experiences. I get yelled at..Locksmith refuses to change the lock on my Entrance Door and back entrance from garage to back garden. Police LAC sees to it none of reporting are in true sense investigated…one experience I will share. I call the police and among other mention I believe my phone is bugged etc. He looks at the phone and tells me “I don’t see anything wrong”..I knew then the police have been advised not to take me seriously etc. Therefore I can’t report any criminal acts I may witness either. As an Injured Worker I have lost my Human Right…No place to report any abuse by Trades People which happens at the instruction of W.Compensation Insurer and their Associates. This blog is the best thing that has happened. When I first discovered this websit I got carried away reading and suddenly THE WHOLE PAGE WENT BLANK”!!! I had not taken down the website address nor remembered which link I have to return to. Tried again and again late into last night. Did not succeed. This morning I used my Ipad…after few effort I succeeded. Can Chronic Pain Australia put together a list of volunteers who would be prepared to help injured workers write their stories. This will give us a chance to write our stories for the new BLOG injuredworkersupport.org.au
Some of the stories will shock the nation. Pick a story to publicise in the main media etc to gain support to help stop injured workers undergoing Human Right violation and abuse of Privacy Act which is a criminal act..Family member use the same phone and their privacy rights are abused as well and security jeopardised. My husband, before dying made known to me that I am embedded with Tracing Device and that they are aware where I am at any given time. How do I take this information and have it checked. Unless I had someone/some organisation that supports injured workers behind me. My investigations does not go very far. It results on yells and abuse on my phone from parties of interest (WC Insures and their Associates). Or services gets cancelled off the system, as it happened of late with Community Transport – in fifteen yrs I made a valid complaint for investigation.
