I go way back with Physical Therapist and Board Certified Women’s Health Clinical Specialist Dustienne Miller.
In fact, all the way to 2014, when I was desperately seeking a way to return to my yoga practice and discovered Dustienne’s website, Your Pace Yoga.
This was also the time when I was gathering resources for pudendalnerve.com.au in order to help an expanding global pelvic pain community.
The introduction led to an instant connection: Dustienne purchased my book, Art & Chronic Pain – A Self Portrait, for her practice, which is still on the client waiting room table, and I then purchased Dustienne’s pelvic pain yoga program, which was then available on DVD.
Dustienne’s DVD was a turning point, allowing me to return to yoga in a perfectly gentle way, easing my pelvic pain rather than exacerbating it, as previous attempts had.
Having kept in touch over the years and still practising Dustienne’s program, I’ve reconnected with Dustienne to form a My Health Story Friendship.
The My Health Story Friends system is another part of my ambition to get the best resources to people who need them as quickly as possible. After a 4.5-year misdiagnosis and now living with the effects of that, I understand the importance of individuals receiving speedy and appropriate treatment.
I can’t recommend Dustienne Miller highly enough. Yoga can certainly be a treatment for pelvic pain, and no matter where you live, Dustienne may be able to help.
