It’s that time again… pain research fundraising time!

As you all probably know, I’m a fan – a huge one of Pain Revolution’s fundraisers!

It certainly is important to gather funds for research but equally important is the media and attention that chronic pain can attract through events such as these – will you join me? You can, it’s easy this year!

Last year, Queenscliff Gallery in conjunction with the divine Michael Leunig combined their efforts to create a special etching, Song II to raise funds for the cause. Michael Leunig created the etching, Theo editioned each print and the majority of the proceeds from sales were donated to the Pain Revolution fundraiser. We raised $1,690.

In the process of the fundraiser, the riders who were en route from Geelong to Gippsland, dropped into our gallery to say a quick thank you as they headed off to catch the ferry and continue their ride.

Pain Revolution March 8

This year, the Pain Revolution fundraiser welcomes everyone to participate and it’s a motivating experience.

I’ve gathered a few PainTrain – My Health Summary Advisory board members and together we’re going to Go The Distance and rack up kilometres either walking, running or riding from each of our locations to raise funds.

You can join the team too! You can also donate to our team page.

It’s a great idea given no one knows the circumstances in which we’ll all be in October when the fundraiser happens. This is a great way for anyone to be involved from wherever you are in the world. And it’s motivating! Whatever you can achieve is brilliant, you set the goal.

Pain Revolution ‘Go the Distance’ Challenge

During the month of October we’re asking you to run, ride or walk as far as you can to help us support people living with persistent pain.

With 1 in 5 Australians living with pain it is likely that someone you know is directly affected. Pain Revolution is working to improve the quality of life of people living with pain and to minimise the social and economic burden of pain.

Are you ready to help?
