Online Survey to Research the Relationship Between Emotional Expression and Pain/illness

Alexithymia, Ego Defense Mechanisms and PainHawaa Dajan is a psychology honours student at USQ doing her research project on the relationship between emotional expression and pain/illness. Hawaa contacted me through FB and asked if I could share her information.

Of course!

Hawaa and her co student, Nina Hingley are looking for participants who will be generous enough to donate 40 minutes of their time to complete an online survey for the project.

Participants who complete the survey will go in to cash prize draw for cash cards valued between $50-$100.

Ideally participants would have a history of pain and/or illness to pinpoint the level of contribution emotional expression has on their condition.

One-third of patients that present to medical doctors have symptoms of pain and/or illness that are medically unexplainable and since there are gaps in this area of research this project will hopefully provide some insight.

Individuals who do not experience pain are also encouraged to fill out the online survey.

For more information about this study please feel free to contact the supervisor for this project Dr Zahra Izadikhah via email: Zahra.izadikhah@usq.edu.au.

I love your website Soula it looks amazing! And thank you for posting my research on here. Unfortunately I’ve encountered a couple of errors on the survey so I will let you know when it’s active again stay tuned 🙂
